When you use Microsoft Office programs, you notice that visual features differ from one computer to another. For example, you see animations in Excel when you scroll through a worksheet on one computer, but you do not see the same animations on another computer.
Bullet point keyboard shortcut windows. A bullet point is often used to entries in a list in a document or presentation. Hi Tom: Phillip is correct: the official response is that Microsoft Office does NOT support PostScript fonts (and some of them will crash the applications if you force them). Office supports only TrueType, and OpenType fonts that contain TrueType outlines. Office 2011 does not actually suppress them, which has led to problems in the past, so I guess they have tightened it up for Office 16. It's also worth noting that Word generally does not like fonts coming and going while it is running.
So running any kind of font manager, including Apple's, is likely to give you stability problems. I put all my fonts into the System font folder, enable them all, and leave them that way:-) Then again: I last looked at the Font menu about 3 or 4 years ago -- I define the fonts I want to use into my styles so I do not have to think about fonts while I am working. Obviously I would not be able to do that so much if I were a graphics designer.
But then I wouldn't be using Word for that, either:-) Hope this helps John McGhie, Microsoft MVP (Mac Word), Consultant Technical Writer. Office 2011 and 2016 Preview do not support Postscript (1,2,or 3) particularly if using Yosemite (10.10.x). (MS and Apple Support only: • TrueType both Mac and PC versions. • OpenType based on TrueType Mac or PC) There is or was a Utility called Font Xchange That you can (could) download in which if you had some type 1, 2, 3 PostScript Fonts you desperately need, you can convert them to either True type or Open type based on TrueType. _________ Disclaimer: The questions, discussions, opinions, replies & answers I create, are solely mine and mine alone, and do not reflect upon my position as a Community Moderator.
